While using the services of a specialized engine rebuilder can be more costly initially, they typically have the experience to produce a turbo Buick V6 engine which is built to last.
At the present time, there are aftermarket engine parts available for the turbo Buick engine. These parts have been tested and have performed well under extreme racing conditions. In fact, these engines could still give any modern day engine a good run for its money.
