Many sports are known to be played in America. Even though this is the case, one of the most popular sports is baseball. There are many leagues that are played for this particular sport. The one that is watched the most by the American public and others around the world is the Major baseball league. There are a number of teams from just about each state that participate in this league. There are a few states including California that are known to have more than one team.

The most popular team that is supported and followed in California is the San Francisco Giants. The San Francisco Giants came into existence in 1883. At that particular point in time, the San Francisco Giants were referred to as a different team. It wasn’t until the season that was played in 1957 that the team became the San Francisco Giants.

Before this time, the team was based in New York. As a result, they were referred to as the New York Giants. During this team name, they were able to maintain a strong winning record of seventeen Pennants and five World Champions. Players that made this record possible are even remembered to this very day. Names such as Willie Mays and Bobby Thomson are appreciated amongst all baseball fan lovers.

The team is now referred to as the San Francisco Giants. Since the change in name and location, they have not been able to win a World Championship ever since. Many people have seen this as one of the longest droughts in baseball history. Even though this is the case, the San Francisco Giants have been known to hold the record of the most wins in baseball history.

Unlike most other team uniforms, the San Francisco Giants uniform is quite attractive due to the bright color combination that it has to offer. The current home uniform for the San Francisco Giants has a combination of the following colors; black, orange, white and gold. The trousers and shirt are white with gold outlining. The socks and cap on the other hand are a combination of both orange and black.

The only difference that the San Francisco Giants have made in their away kit is that the shirt and trouser is gray. All of the other color combinations are exactly the same as the home uniform. Even though the San Francisco Giants have an alternative uniform, there are rare circumstances where it is used.

The logo of the San Francisco Giants is quite popular amongst the fans due to its simplicity. The current logo for the San Francisco Giants has the word “Giants” written over a baseball.

The San Francisco Giants have just recently launched a web store on their official website. The store is known to sell a number of different souvenirs including the team uniform. This includes both the home and away kit.
